The Investigations Division is also responsible for background investigations of applicants for Police Department positions and internal investigations as assigned by the Chief. The division works closely with other law enforcement agencies in coordinating investigations that cross jurisdictional boundaries.
The Communications Division is responsible for all emergency communications. Communications Officers receive incoming calls, 9-1-1 emergency lines, and dispatch radio calls to officers or appropriate agencies. The Communications Division orchestrates all emergency communications for the police, fire, and ambulance services in the City of Claremore.
They are also responsible for communications to other departments or agencies as needed, especially in severe weather or natural disasters. The Communications Division received over 26,000 calls for service during 2012.
The Records division also files and maintains all traffic citations and arrest warrants issued by the City of Claremore. This division collects required statistics for State and Federal reporting that is required, as well as for a monthly and annual report to the Chief of Police.
The Records Division maintains photograph files of individuals arrested and maintains the sex offender registry that is required by law.
